North Park

Construction of Oakville’s new state-of-the-art sports park, currently known as North Park, began with the official ground-breaking ceremony in July 2008.

Oakville’s North Park Located at Neyagawa / Dundas

The 79-hectare sports park, located on the west side of Neyagawa Boulevard north of Dundas Street, will be completed in three phases:

  • Phase 1A included the development of the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, which features a 1,500-seat Olympic-sized ice surface and three NHL-sized ice pads, and opened in September 2011. A sports park with two lit soccer fields—one with artificial turf and one with natural grass—opened in spring 2011 along with a leash-free dog area.
  • Phase 1B includes an additional soccer field, cricket pitch, washroom/change room facility, BMX and skateboard facilities, splash pad, playground and other park amenities.
  • Phase 2 includes a community centre and library facility. The development of the north parcel of land will primarily focus on outdoor sports fields and passive areas.
